So far, so good.

So, been playing ror a day now. Had some real good luck. I'm leveling a tauren up so was questing in Bloodhoof village and went to level up fishing, I've seen some recipe's selling for stupid money on the AH before and thought I'd try my hand at it. I didn't have much money so I could only afford 1 of each.

Recipe: Longjaw Mud Snapper
& Recipe: Brilliant Smallfish

Now I wasn't sure if I could sell them for anything much over vendor price as I haven't been scanning the auction house for a long time so I checked allakhazam for a price and stuck it up on that. So far now...

From the image you can see that I sold three recipe's for a decent ammount and now have 24g. Level 14. I just hope that it gets better from here. :)

Getting Started

So I have made my character, a Tauren Hunter on the Steamwheedle Cartel server. I've got into a nice guild there. I leveled to level 5 and ran all the way to Thunder Bluff and did my first scan of the Auction House using Auctioneer. All is good. Now the first thing every budding entrepenuer should do is search the Auction House for things people have put up for sale below the Vendor Price. So to do this, go to the Auction House, find the Auctioneer tab "Search" along the bottom and click it. Once you have done that a new window will open up. Under searches, select Vendor as the type of search and in the money column, select 1c for now (When you have more money you can bid on higher priced stuff) then press search. What this does now, is searches through the last scans results and finds all the items posted below the vendor price for that item. It should hopefully find some stuff, now when I did it last night, I had a fair few results but only 3 things I could actually bid/buy as I only had 4s. So I changed the results to be filtered by bid price and bid on the 3 lowest priced items. One was a buyout with 10c profit so I got that fromt he mail box and sold it for my profit. I bid on 2 other things for about 12c profit. It sounds like nothing but pennies make pounds!

That was it for last night, I'm going to log on today to see whats been going on, level up some more and see what the Auction House has to bring for todays activities. :-)

New Beginnings

So, I've been playing World of Warcraft of and on since release (11 Feb 05) I've done pretty much everything (apart from the new WotLK content). I've tried loads of stuff like Multiboxing, Dualing, RaF and tons more, but nothing has gotten me more interested in the game than the Auction House.

Now I realise the auction house has been there since Day 1. But there are many ways to play the auction house. Up until about 5 weeks ago I was just like most of the WoW population, clueless into the copiuos ammounts of gold you can make from the AH, with little to no effort. I started reading blogs (I'll name them all later) on RSS feeds and learnt a ton. I've watched videos and read so much stuff, I swear my head was going to explode.

Now I've been playing around with a few ideas these blogs put forward. I made a new alt, gave him 10g and stuck him in Orgrimmar. 4 weeks later and 6 hours played time on him, he has 1600g. Now for me, thats a ton for no effort what-so-ever. I will detail how later on.

So, the reason for the blog... I wanted to really try this auction house thing. See if it can be done from scratch (no 20g to start). So I'm starting on a new server (Steamwheedle Cartel) with a level 1 character (I've not had characters here before, so no previous money) and I'm going to try and make as much money as possible.

Here goes...
